Form of Medicine : Round – Standard Concave Tablet

Colour of the Medicine : Blackish Brown Colour

Weight of Medicine : 450 mgs /Tab

Prescribed Dosage : As per Physician Advice.

1 Masha – 750mgs to 1 gram, 2 tablets 2 – 3 times a day.
Dose for children below 5 years – half to 1 tablet once or twice a day.
Dose for children between 5 – 12 years – 1 tablet 2 – 3 times a day after food.
Dose for children between 12-18 years – 1-2 tablets 2 – 3 times a day.

Direction of Use : Take two tablet three times a day, along with warm water before taking breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Medicinal Properties

Chitrakadi Tablet has following medicinal properties.

Appetizer, Detoxifier, Antispasmodic, Carminative, Digestive Stimulant, Bioenhancer.

Indications :

Textual Indications : Agnimandya (Digestive impairment), Amadosha (Products of impaired digestion and metabolism / consequences of Ama), Grahani (Malabsorption syndrome).

Common Use :

Loss of appetite, Anorexia, Constipation (with sticky stool and mucus discharge in the stool), Gas or Flatulence, Bloating, Abdominal Distension, Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) – When stool is sticky and mucus discharge in the stool, Malabsorption.

Contraindications : This is best avoided during pregnancy, due to strong herbs.

Side Effects : In people with sensitive stomach, gastritis this medicine should not be used. Over-dosage may cause slight burning sensation in abdomen. Store in a cool and dry place.
