Form of Medicine : Round – Standard Concave Tablet

Colour of the Medicine : Blackish Brown Colour

Weight of Medicine : 450 mgs /Tab

Prescribed Dosage : As per Physician Advice.

1 Masha – 500mgs to 1 gram, 1-2 tablets 2 – 3 times a day.
Dose for children below 5 years – half to 1 tablet once or twice a day.
Dose for children between 5 – 12 years – 1 tablet 2  times a day.
Dose for children between 12-18 years – 1 tablets 2 – 3 times a day.

Direction of Use : Take two tablet three times a day, along with warm water before taking breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Medicinal Properties

Chandraphrabha Tablet has following medicinal properties.

Diuretic, Antilithiatic, Digestive Stimulant, Appetizer, Carminative, Antispasmodic, Mild laxative, Liver tonic, Hepatoprotective, Cardioprotective, Depurative, Blood purifier, Anti-inflammatory, Analgesic, Anti-arthritic, Muscle relaxant, Antipruritics, Anti-hypertensive (due to its diuretic action), Haematinic (increases hemoglobin levels), Hematogenic,  Hemostatic,  Anti-hemorrhoid, Emmenagogue, Bioenhancer, Adaptogenic, Immunomodulator activity.

Indications :

Textual Indications : Vibandha (Constipation), Anaha (Distension of abdomen due to obstruction to passage of urine and stools), Shula (Colicky Pain), Granthi (Cystic Growth), Pandu (Anaemia), Kamala (Jaundice), Mutrakrucchra (Dysuria), Prameha (Urinary disorders), Ashmari (Urinary Calculus), Arsha (Haemorrhoids), Arbuda (Tumor), Mutraghata (Urinary obstruction), Antra Vriddhi (Hernia), Kati shula (Lower backache), Kustha (Diseases of skin), Kandu (Itching), Plihodara (Disorder of Spleen, Ascites associated with spleenomegaly), Bhagandara (Fistula-in-ano), Dantaroga (Dental disease), Netraroga (Eye disorder), Aruci (Tastelessness), Mandagni (Impaired digestive fire), Striroga (Gynaecological disorders), Artava Ruja (Dysmenorrhoea), Shukra Dosha (Vitiation of semen), Daurbalya (Weakness).

Common Use :

General debility, Physical weakness, Fatigue, Generalized fatigue syndrome, Restless leg syndrome, Burning or heat sensation in feet or palms, Health Tonic, Mental stress due to excess work load, Depression with passive symptoms, Memory loss in students, Mental fatigue in students.

High blood pressure (Mild anti-hypertensive effects), Tachycardia or palpitation, Heart tonic.

Knee osteoarthritis with swelling, Muscular pain associated with fatigue, Low backache, Arthritis.

Amenorrhea (absent menses), Dysmenorrhea (painful menses) dysmenorrheal, Oligomenorrhea, Excessive uterine bleeding, Polycystic ovarian disease, Imbalanced female hormones, Infertility, Habitual miscarriage, leucorrhoea.

Prostate enlargement (BPH), Oligospermia, Impotency, Erectile dysfunction, Frequent urination, Urinary incontinence, Glycosuria (sugar in urine), Albuminuria or proteinuria, Chronic Renal (kidney) failure, Nephritis, Nephrotic Syndrome (Nephrosis), Kidney stones, Premature ejaculation, Nightfall problem, High serum creatinine, infection in urine and burning micturition.

Contraindications :

There are no recorded contraindications of Chandraprabha Vati. However, this is best avoided during pregnancy, due to strong herbs.

Side Effects : It can be taken during lactation period, for a limited period of time and in children under medical supervision. Store in a cool dry place.

Side Effects : In people with sensitive stomach, gastritis this medicine should not be used. Over-dosage may cause slight burning sensation in abdomen. Store in a cool and dry place.
